There are no restrictions. You can rent half days, full days, weekends, weekdays, holidays. You can rent what you want, when you want. It’s really that simple.
Most clubs have multiple levels with confusing reservation requirements. We don’t have that. Most clubs have a very high “buy in” and expensive monthly fees. In return you have “unlimited” use of boat but that usually comes with lots of restrictions. It feels like a time-share more than a boating club.

At Big Water Boat Club we keep it really simple. You pay a $500 initiation fee (for new members), $50 monthly membership dues (paid quarterly), and 50% off rental rates whenever you rent a boat at Lighthouse Resort & Marina. You also get discounts and savings to our affiliated companies (including lodging and cruises), and a professional team to help you make the most of your boating adventure.
There really aren’t any, but to be fully transparent after you join, you will pay the following:
  • $50 membership dues (paid quarterly)
  • 50% off posted rental rates at Lighthouse Resort & Marina. Rates vary depending on time of year, weekends/weekdays, and holidays. A half day in the Winter is $450 (so you’d pay $225), and a full day on a holiday weekend like Memorial Day can be as high as $1200 (so you’d pay $600).
  • Each rental will require a $500 damage deposit on a major credit card. This is released when the boat is brought back in the condition it left in.
  • You will pay for the gas used during your rental at the discounted Member rate.
You are billed quarterly for the membership dues, so the minimum commitment is 3 months. If you happen to cancel and decide to rejoin, the Initiation Fee increases to $1,000, so it makes the most sense to continue your membership and be able to enjoy a boat when you want year round!
